Peace Corps names d.light president Sam Goldman in its “40 under 40” list

Before impacting 100 million lives in 70 countries and saving customers billions in energy expenses, d.light president and co-founder, Sam Goldman, was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Benin from 2001 to 2004. It was here that he founded an NGO that trained youth and women in animal husbandry and agribusiness. The NGO also focused on training local masons in the manufacture of low-cost latrines and fuel-efficient cooking stoves. In addition to this, Sam’s NGO established health centers and women’s groups, to cultivate the Moringa tree to combat malnutrition.
